Hi everbody- me Gertie here after an absence....
Wot's new you ask???? Well God keeps blessing us and our furrends!!! Since I was last here muh dear sister WILLOW FISHER is responding well to her chemo and is feeling much better!!!! My Unka, CHUNKS MATHER, had a bad health scare last week ( Unka Chunks is 17 years old), but he rallied, is feeling better and all the blood tests indicate his organs are fine and his health problems can be managed with meds...

So wot's goin on here in GERTIEVILLE??? I continue (try) to follow BOOB out the door on his outings, but mama always grabs me...POO. My other bruvva RUDY , just loves me....bout time! I been here almost 15 months now!! MOL MOL

Well I have to go.....It's Saturday, first college football game of da season for our OKLAHOMA SOONERS!!!!! See ya next time....

Hallo to all muh dear furrends and fambly!! I have not blogged for a long time and I am back now!!
"Wot's new Gertie Girl"  you all poorobly want to know......Well for starters I am NOT "WEE GERTIE" any more- I am BEEG Gertie!!! I had muh first birfday in June and I am happy healthy and still givin Boob and Rudy a run for dere money.

Dis past weekend me and some of muh sisfurs went on a Spa Day and got all pamerated.....Mooshue got her ear hairs waxed (and on accident some of her back fur!!) Poohdy, Mama Muchka and Rosie Posie had a tipsy good time!!! And me, well I was so happy to catch up wif Miss Elsie Fallulah Graves (who by da way has a Birfday dis Friday!!)

Mrs. Lady Bird Johnson put up with a grumpy husband for lots of years. She did good by planting lots of wild flowers. She's a Southern Belle which, of course, puts her at the top of muh list- on account of my poorents from Oklahoma, and Mama is a Southern Belle, which means I am too.

Lady Elaine Fairchilde was one of Mr. Fred Rogers' side-kicks in Make Believe Land. She plays accordion like I do......

Lady Diana Spencer became a Princess, but she was always a lady. She bulleved in givin back to da less fortunate. She was a good Mama to her boys. And boy did she know how to wear pretty clothes!!

I saved the best for last peeoples!!! My favorite lady is one I know and love. Her title is "MISS" but she's a real Southern Belle and my future sister-in-law, Miss Elsie Fallulah Graves. She has a real important job over to the WHISKERS AND PURRS HOUSE. Miss Elsie is TOP CAT and leader of the pack for  13 cats- actually 15 counting the two new kitties. She's my bruvva Rudy's fawnshee and oh so elegant!! I love ya Miss Elsie!! Wavin muh widdle paw atcha!

Morning Peeples!!! I am so excited today! I have a new cape and am finally ready to fly!! Just call me SOOPER GERTIE! I gotta send out lots of hugs and kisses to muh bestest furrend in da whole wide world Mr. Boomer Burk of Louisville, Kentucky for dis wunnerful gift. A DAY IN MY LIFE- BY GERTIE

Morning Muh Furrends and all you peepols on da Internet Thingee. It's me again!! Wee Gertie. Today I am gonna share wif you what a typical day in muh life is like.

I wake up and mama lets me outta da kitty carrier about 7 am. Before you start screamin "CAT ABUSE" at muh Mama, I needs to tell you dat I am VERY comfee in dat box. I sleep in dere wif muh Milty (well, Boob's) and muh very own rat named Lucy which was gived to me by muh dear bruvva FONZIE BIJAN SEED.

After I gets up and does muh kitty yoga- some stretches and shtuff- I meet Daddy Boob  in da kitchen where  Mama pops open a can of Fancy Feets for us to share. Me and Boob bof prefer da Beef and Liver classic pate kind, but  we like all da flaburs. After dat- well I go to muh litter box and do what we all gotta do- POOP. 

Next on da agenda- me, Boob and Rudy scamper into da living room and circle around daddy when he yells "WHO WANTS TREATS????" As if dat's not da silliest question. Hoomans are a strange sort- but whataeyagonnado?? God love 'em!

In case you was wonderin, I enjoy Temptations Treats and Party Mix, and so do Boob and Rudy (or Brooby as our furrend Christine calls dem). But I have very continental taste- and I also loves da Temptations treats from Ozzstralia (fank you Ma Ma Muchka!) and da Dreamies from England (kisses to you Gizzi and Freya!!).

Does Gertie do anyfing BUT eat??? you may wonder. Actually I do!! After treats, Mama opens da back door and puts a kitchen chair where Boob, Rudy and me sit together and watch da birdies and chipmunks for an hour or two.

We nap and I wrassle wif Boob during da day. Muh best place to nap is on da day bed in front of da TV. I always nap on muh MANLY MEN BLUE BLANKEE which was gived to us by Rudy's fawnshee, MISS ELSIE FALLULAH GRAVES.  I dun bother nobody here.....Like I told ya before, we only have a few rules in muh house and two of dem is dis:  DO NOT BOTHER RUDY. Ifn I forget- bleeve me, he reminds me!! Growl!!! Thunderpaw!!!

When mama gets home from work, we like to play Laser Light. I can jump higher den muh hefty bag bruvvers. Probly cause I'm wee, and I'm also a ballet dancer. Zoe Marie Cuppiecake Spumoni (muh sister who lives in Florida) and me, we opened a Dance Studio!! More about dat anuver day, OK??

We play and have more Fancy Feets (Rudy likes crunchy food) and treats and we hang out wif mama on da big bed while she reads her True Crime books. By about 9:30 it's time for me to give da old peeps and cats a rest. So I go to da kitty carrier and say goodnight. ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. I don't know who they is- but I know this is true! So today I wanna let you meet my God-Poorents who are my bestest furrends in the world!!

My "Daddy Aimee" is a 17 year old smooth haired terrier from Olympia, Washington. Yes- he's a doggy!!! And I have big ears just like his. Daddy Aimee was a confirmed old bachelor, just sittin around watching the Food Channel and eating Snausages when he met my bruvvas on Facebook. Well Boob and Aimee became best buddies. And then the most exciting thing happened! Aimee fell in LOVE! Not with Boob, sillies- with the Lovely Lady of Adelaide, Muchka.

When I grow up, I wanna be just like my God-Muvva Moochy. She is the most beautiful, elegant tortie cat in the whole wide world! Muchka is from Adelaide, Australia. It's called "down under" and the water in their toilets there swirls backwards. It sounds like a fun place for a nosy little kitty like Gertie Girl. 
At first I could not understand Muchka very well cause she speaks LOLCAT   
But I figured it out real quick- hey I'm smart! and now I can talk that way too. Anyway, Muchka and Aimee fell in love and are gonna get married soon. They are wunnerful and I love them so much.

I love my bruvva Rudy a real lot too!! Mama says he's got some adjustin to do. Before I got here, he was still the baby so it's gonna take some time to sort out.....

Getting More Smarter

Happy Tuesday from little Gertie to all my furrends on the internets!!! 

Today I wanna talk to you about the importance of a good education. See, I have two really smart bruvvas. A lot of you already know them- Boob and Rudy. They are really smart cats. Boob is a fat cat lawyer who gradumated from Dartmouth and him and Rudy both got degrees from Duke. I am just a plain old street kitty, and it's time for Gertie Girl to get an edumacation!!!

Today I wanna share my learnin' with  you- my bloggie furrends!!! So sit down, and get ready for today's lesson.

Good Morning Children!!! I am your teacher Miss Gertrude. Today we are going to have a history lesson.  Put your thinking caps on!!  We are going to talk about a phrase today that some of your  parents may have called you when you  got into something you shouldn't have.  In fact my mother (yes I am an old maid teacher and still live with my Mama) called me a NOSEY PARKER  this morning. What, you may ask is a Nosey Parker???


A "NOSY PARKER" sometimes spelled "NOSEY PARKER" is a person of an overly inquisitive or prying nature.

He has good experience cause he raised Rudy from a wee kitty and Rudy has turned out big and handsome and smart. I love muh bruvvas. I am still very wee and they look out for me. Life is real good. Monday Monday

Hello Dear Peeples on the Internet Thingee- It's me Gertie Girl!! I decided to give this bloggie thingee a try. Mama says I am a miracle kitty, and that I have a story of hope to share...So here goes.

Two weeks ago I was STARVING and didn't have no home. I was an orphan. Unka Bob heard a sound outside his door late at night and went to investimigate. Well, there I was all one and a half pounds of me curled up between the tire and wheel well of his car- crying my little heart out! I was  covered with motor oil. My bones were sticking out, and my skin was drooping. 

Unka Bob's dorter took me inside and cleaned me up. She gave me a nice canned tuna dinner and let me curl up with her for the night. Next morning, Unka Bob and his dorter brung me to my furrever home with my new mama and daddy. Oh yes, I have two BIG cat bruvvas- Boob and Rudy.

Now I know what a Princess feels like!!!!  WOW!!!  I have about 200 toys and about that many Facebook furrends. My tummy is always full of Fancy Feets and Party Mix and everbody loves me!  I am THE HAPPIEST GIRL IN ILLINOIS!!!
